The Pumpkin Patch
The Pumpkin Patch is open for You-Pick pumpkins in October. Join us on the weekends for a hayride through the patch, hot chocolate, hot cider, face painting, and other fun activities.

Just remember that while pumpkins have handles that they really are stems. Until you have your pumpkin carved please don't carry it by the stem (handle) as it may break off leaving your Jack O'Lantern without a handle.

Pumpkins, Squash, and Gourds
We planted both the delicious and the ornamental in May. And we planted, and planted, and planted.

Pumpkins
Baby Bear
A small pumpkin with well colored flesh that is suitable for pies. The semi-hulless seads are a delicious toasted treat.

Big Max
Huge Pumpkin - Up to 6 ft around and 100 pounds!
Fairytale
A unique eating and ornamental pumpkin, Fairytale has a deeply lobed, slightly squat shape and a magnificent mahogany brown color.
Howden Biggie Jack O'Lantern
A great large pumpkin for carving -- big but not so big you can't move it (30 - 40 pounds) with nice skin and a strong handle.
Howden Jack O'Lantern

Lil' Ironsides
Small Pumpkin - Smooth, ribless, bright orange, with a rind that is almost as hard as pottery! Excellent to use for painted pumpkins.
Rouge Vif D'etampes
The famous French Pumpkin - "Rouge vif" means "vivid red". Shaped flat, looking like a red cheese wheel, the fruits average in the 10-15 lb. range. The moderately sweet, orange flesh is suited for pumpkin or squash pie.
Racer Jack O'Lantern
It's hard not to like these blocky, heavy, deep orange Jack O'Lanterns with great looking ribs and big handles. Typical weight 12-18 lb.
Rocket Jack O'Lantern
The medium size, avg. 14-20 lb., Jack O' Lanterns are upright-shaped with distinctive shoulder ribbing and long, strong green handles.
Small Sugar Pumpkin
Small Sugar pumpkins have very smooth textured, bright orange flesh and the finest flavor for making mouthwatering pies
SnackJack Pumpkin
A Jack of all trades in the pumpkin patch. It's a great carving pumpkin, the cooked flesh is delicious, and the naked seeds are perfect for snacking. Their taste is between a sunflower seed and a peanut, and no shell! They're very high in zinc (important for a healthy immune system) and 3 amino acids.
Wee-B-Little
Remarkably miniature, about the size of a baseball; its shape is like a normal pumpkin. Smooth, bright orange rind.
Squash
Ambercup Squash
Small slightly ribbed fruit with brown-orange skin weighing up to 2 1/2 pounds. Good pureed or roasted. Has an extraordinarily long storage life.
